Stainless Steel Washers supply options
Stainless steel washers distribute clamping load, protect the joint surface and provide spacing in bolted assemblies. Buyer questions
What is the difference between A2 and A4 stainless steel washers?
A2 is commonly associated with 304-type stainless steel, while A4 is commonly associated with 316-type stainless steel and is often considered for more demanding chloride-related environments. The exact grade must be selected for the actual service conditions.
Are DIN 125 and ISO 7089 washers always interchangeable?
Do not assume complete interchangeability from the product name alone. Compare the applicable standard revision, dimensions, thickness, tolerances, material and mechanical requirements before ordering.
What dimensions are needed for a custom washer quotation?
Provide the inside diameter, outside diameter, thickness, tolerances, material grade, edge or burr requirement, surface condition and quantity. A dimensioned drawing is preferred for formed or non-standard washers.
Can stainless washers be supplied with matching bolts and nuts?
Yes, subject to specification review. Include the bolt and nut standards, sizes, stainless grades and quantities so the complete assembly can be checked together.
